KissAgain

The official Biography

The beginning

It started all in Eindhoven in the year 1998 when Cor (the demon) and Wally ( the cat man ) organized a Kiss Tribute night in a local hard rock cafe called the Big Ben. Being both great kiss fans and musicians they only needed to find a singer and 2 guitar players to complete the lineup. Piet de Vogel a friend from work offered to do the singing and Erik Veenstra and Henk v/d Laars (Elegy) would do the guitar parts…after a few weeks it was obvious that Henk had little time to rehearse.. and so they decided to just play the songs with just one guitar player.

Naming the project “EKTB” (eindhovense kiss tribute band ) they started to rehearse in the basement of the dynamo building and tried to learn as much as possible at home. something Wally’s neighbors weren’t happy with. they managed to learn about 20 Kiss classics in just 5 rehearsals

Unfortunately Piet's father died a week before the show and wasn’t able to play so Frenkie and Patrick were asked if they both could sing a couple of songs. The show was a great success and even tough it was mid November The Big Ben had to open the side doors because the place was so packed that people couldn’t get in or out

The Second Coming

In the summer of 2000 Piet de Vogel asked Wally if he was interested to participate in a Playback show that was organized for a children’s summer camp. The camp elders also had to do a playback act and they decided to do psycho circus from kiss Wally had to play Ace Frehley and Piet Gene Simmons after the show Wally and Piet decided that it would be a good time to do a Kiss tribute again and so they contacted Cor and Erik. they to had the same opinion and a date was set to play in the Dynamo hard rock café.. some where in september trough an ad on internet the found a guitar player and started to rehearse again. This time they played about 24 songs and ended up playing a lot of songs from other bands as well.

100,000 Years

After this second show of the EKTB project it became very quietto for a couple of years Seven instead of 100.000 actualy Wally became very busy with ERAZER a heavy metal band he founded together with Luuk ( the star child ) Cor also founded a “gothic” metal band called SOLEMNUS both bands were pretty successful after the breakup of Solemnus Cor also joined ERAZER.

In the beginning of 2006 Luuk and the other guitarist decided to leave Cor and Wally recruited with 2 other guitar players and Luuk joined Patatje Metal. in the meantime Wally also started a Rock cover band together with Cor and trough an ad on internet the found Gijs ( space ace )

When Cor and Wally visited a local youth center a friend who works there asked if they could come and play there with ERAZER.. they had to say no because the still needed a new singer But then their friend asked what was going on with the EKTB project and that it would be nice to have a good cover band to play on their annual 80 hardrock/metal night

Cor and Wally asked Gijs to join the project and he was in to it right away he brought in a friend to play rhythm guitar But after two rehearsals they agreed he was not the right type of guitar player. Wally decided to give Luuk a call if he was interested to come over and play some kiss songs And after playing a few songs Luuk got into it more and more and joined..

Sadly the show in the youth center got canceled Gijs knew a place in his hometown where they could play …But bad luck followed the four musicians because the pub went bankrupt..

The Birth of a Tribute band

After that Wally auditioned in a KISS tribute band called KISS on the Rocks And played one gig with them .. but because of the distance between Den Haag and Eindhoven they decided to take another drummer who is living in their area..

With Both ERAZER and the rock cover band doing nothing Wally called the other members of the EKTB project and asked if they wanted to make a real band out of it.. and we all know what their answer was..

Because both Luuk and Gijs are not residents of Eindhoven The name EKTB got changed into kiss again and a tribute band was born
